FF grant for North Holmwood pavilion
Mole Valley District Council (MVDC) and North Holmwood Football Club (NHFC) have been awarded a £197,709 grant by the Football Foundation (FF) to help fund the construction of a new sports pavilion.
The pavilion project has already received £3,000 from the Bishop of Guildford's Foundation and £15,000 from the Garfield Weston Foundation, while a series of fundraising events organised by the football club and the King George V (KGV) Pavilion Working Group has raised a further £600. Paul Thorogood, FF chief executive, said: "Sport is playing a central role in helping people stay fit, strengthen communities and promote responsibility among young people. It is thanks to the funding from our partners - the Premier League, the FA and the government - that the Football Foundation exists to support this type of project in Mole Valley."
