FCUM unveils community share issue
FC United of Manchester (FCUM) is giving fans the chance to invest in the club through a new £1.5m community share issue, which aims to help raise funds for a new stadium.
The Evo-Stik League Premier Division club recently submitted plans for the development of a new 5,000-capacity venue at the Ten Acres Lane site in Newton Heath, Manchester. If approved, the new £3.5m stadium will provide the club with its first permanent home since its formation in 2005 in protest at the Glazer family's acquisition of Manchester United Football Club.
In addition to the share issue, FCUM aims to raise £500,000 through donations - £300,000 of which has already been secured. FCUm general manager Andy Walsh said: "This is a landmark opportunity to invest in a club bringing football back to the heart of its communities and leave a lasting legacy for future generations."
