Event secures National Army Museum contract
The National Army Museum (NAM) has appointed Event Communications to deliver a master plan for the five-year transformation of the attraction.
Event will work with NAM on the physical and operational redevelopment of NAM, including programming, audience development, educational outreach, collections and research strategy.
The plan will form the centre piece of the museum's strategy to establish itself as a "world-class museum experience" and includes the redesign of two major permanent galleries, the first covering the time period from 1680-1901 and the second covering the era of the World Wars.
Director of the National Army Museum, Janice Murray said: "This is a very exciting time in the National Army Museum's development.
"We are investing effectively to make our Collection as accessible, understandable and inspiring for a more people to enjoy now and in the future."
Work on the redevelopment will begin later this year, with completion scheduled for 2015.
The NAM, a body incorporated by Royal Charter (1960), is the British Army's own Museum and tells the story of the Army's role and influence on across the world.
