European spa awards announced

The winners of the annual European spa awards were announced at the European Spa Exhibition last week.

Mandarin Oriental was awarded the Best Spa Company/Spa Hotel Chain title, beating rivals Kempinski and Ritz Carlton.

Le Méridien Limassol Spa & Resort in Cyprus was chosen as the Best Hotel spa in Europe, while Les Sources de Caudalie in France was given the award for the region’s Best Resort Spa, beating other nominees Forte Village in Sardinia, Italy and Mardevall Hotel & Spa Mallorca in Spain.

Capri Palace Hotel & Spa in Italy won the title for Best Destination Spa, while Le Prairie in Switzerland was handed the award for Best Medical Spa.

The awards ceremony was held at a Gala dinner at the Hotel de Paris in Monte Carlo on 21 January as part of the European Spa Exhibition trade show.
