Eclectic opens Brighton club
Eclectic Clubs & Bars has launched opened the first of a new brand of night clubs in Brighton.
The £200,000 Lola Lo club will replace the former Po Na Na club in the city and will be open five days a week.
Eclectic, which owns the Po Na Na, Sakura and Fez chains of clubs, have spent two years developing the Lola Lo concept, alongside interior designer Jamie Wilson.
Accoridng to Lee Nicolson, Eclectic's operations director, Lola Lo has been designed to "re-create an authentic Polynesian vibe", with rustic décor featuring bamboo, hand-carved woods, evocative lighting, private booths and a unique dance floor.
Main contractor on the project was WFC Interiors, with sound created by Emma Barwell of SSE Audio Group and lighting by TEI Electrical. The venue's general manager is Nicola Ladd, a former manager of Po Na Na Brighton.
