EAS in Sweden to offer a smörgåsbord of seminars and events
Gothenburg's Swedish Exhibition and Congress Centre is set to host to the continent’s largest attractions conference and trade show, when the Euro Attractions Show (EAS) kicks off next month.
The venue for the 2015 edition of EAS is next to Liseberg theme park, which will hold a number of events, meaning the show will be the first EAS to be fully integrated with a major amusement park.
More than 400 exhibitors and 10,000 guests are expected to attend the show, which is being held from 6 to 8 October.
This year’s keynote speech will be by ABBA frontman Björn Ulvaeus. He will talk at the Leadership Breakfast, a popular morning networking event.
The former popstar is expected to reveal the secrets of the success of the ABBA brand, how it became an IP in its own right and what his expertise and experiences in the entertainment industry can bring to the world of attractions.
In addition to the trade show, a diversified programme with educational sessions and networking events will be offered.
EAS will offer a holistic and varied programme of seminars, including topics like HR, marketing, leadership, safety, post-visit experiences, data analytics, ride design and profit generation.
Regular fixtures – the IAAPA Safety Institute, Institute for Attractions Management, FEC Forum and Waterpark Forum – round out the EAS programme for Sweden.
There’ll also be behind-the-scenes visits available to delegates – including backstage tours of Liseberg and Universeum science centre, and a post-EAS experience that includes Gröna Lund and ABBA The Museum in Stockholm, before flying to Copenhagen, Denmark, to tour Den Bla Planet and Tivoli Gardens.
