Dutch theme park installs 5D theatre
Dutch theme park Familiepark Drievliet is to unveil a 5D effects theatre in time for the summer season.
The park's former Cine 180 dome is to be converted to house the new attraction, supplied by UK-based Simworx, which will boast seats with multi-directional movement, leg ticklers, air blasts, water spray and aroma.
Simworx managing director Terry Monkton said: "We are currently enjoying a great deal of success in various parts of the world with our theatres," he said, "and the Drievliet project is another example of us being able to provide a full turnkey theatre which I am sure will be very well received by the park's guests.
"Our effects theatres are great family attractions with good capacity, and provide excellent entertainment for all ages. I'm sure this will prove a great addition to Drievliet's range of attractions and facilities."
The theatre will open showing the award-winning 12-minute film Curse of Skull Rock.
