Durham CCC losses 'in line' with plans
Durham County Cricket Club (DCCC) has reported an operating loss of £938,000 for the year to the end of September 2010 - a figure that is "in line" with the club's plans.
The club said that the losses were in accordance with its five-year development plan, which is set to see additional "managed" losses in 2011 and 2012 and a return to profit in 2013. It was also confirmed that plans for a 149-room hotel at the Emirates Durham International Cricket Ground are in place as part of wider development plans, due for completion in 2013.
DCCC chief executive David Harker said: "These results are in line with our long term financial planning and compare favourably to other Test Match venues that do not host Test cricket on an annual basis." Image: Rob Bishop
