Dunstable plans go on public display
Plans to build upon the existing local heritage of Dunstable, Bedfordshire, are at the heart of a new vision for the town's regeneration put on public display by Central Bedfordshire Council (CBC).
Local residents have been given the opportunity to comment on the possible options for the Dunstable Town Centre Masterplan, which could also include improved retail provision and upgraded movement through the town centre. A six-day exhibition into the proposals is being held at Dunstable Library until 19 September, with council representatives on hand to answer questions from members of the public.
CBC's portfolio holder for economic growth, Ken Mathews, said: "Dunstable is among many traditional market towns which have been affected by the current economic climate so we want to work with local people and hear views from residents about what is important to them for the future of their community."
