Doncaster RLFC enters administration
Doncaster Rugby League Football Club (DRLFC) has been placed into administration in an attempt to safeguard the Co-operative Championship outfit's future until a new owner can be found.
Jeremy Bleazard of XL Business Solutions has been appointed to oversee the running of the club, which is now set to suffer a points deduction as a result of the Rugby Football League's insolvency regulations. Dave Marshall, DRLFC chief executive, said: "We have taken steps to reduce our overheads and have looked to secure income from others sources. Unfortunately, these have not been sufficient to turn the club around."
Bleazard added: "Administration will give the club a lifeline until a buyer can be found and this has been done in the best interests of Doncaster RLFC."
