Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund has announced grant funding to support the work of the National Park Foundation (NPF) in connecting families with nature across the US.
The national parks' charity has been awarded US$500,000 (£308,000, EUR378,000) by the Disney fund, which will go towards its Ticket to Ride and America's Best Idea initiatives.
NPF said the schemes are designed to help children explore the outdoors by providing transportation to and supporting a range of community projects at national parks throughout the country.
NPF president and CEO Neil Mulholland said: "Funding for transportation is one of the greatest barriers preventing children from experiencing a national park field trip.
"Disney has helped make it possible for us to engage thousands of young people in life changing park experiences, and ultimately inspiring the next generation of park enthusiasts."
