David Lloyd Leisure investing in GRAVITY
The GRAVITY Training System is now being offered at one of David Lloyd Leisure's flagship clubs, with a view to a further roll out across DLL sites in 2012.
Four of the brand new Total Gym GTS machines have gone into David Lloyd Chigwell with 150 people using the kit in the first ten days of the launch. Rob Beale, Head of Sports, Health and Fitness at David Lloyd Leisure said: "The inclusivity of the Total Gym equipment along with all the different programming options available from GRAVITY makes it an exciting addition to the club with lots of possibilities for the future.
"There's something for everyone, which makes it great value for money - and our instructors will have new potential to generate revenue." The small group classes to be offered at the Chigwell site will maximise both gym floor space and instructor time, while maintaining a level of individually tailored training close to that of personal training.
Users of a range of different abilities can use the same kit, doing the same movements in the same class at the same time and still get the most out of their workout. Resistance levels are changed to optimise the session for each user's goals, with more than 200 exercises to choose from.
Simple adjustment of the glideboard alters the resistance offered by the user's own bodyweight in a matter of seconds, so a bodybuilder or elite athlete can train next to a newcomer to exercise or someone with limited mobility.
