Dana Centre works with Groovy Gecko
A major programme of live webcasts has launched at the Dana Centre, the new £9.8m science, discussion, performance and arts venue at the Science Museum in London.
The main aim of the Centre is to bring controversial themes in modern science to life and create a forum for dicussion both on- and off-line.
Webcasting will play an integral part in enabling remote audiences to participate in debates on-line via the www.danacentre.org.uk web site.
Media services company, Groovy Gecko, will be providing all streaming media services for the Science Museum and its umbrella organisation, NMSI.
Live events will be filmed, encoded on site, delivered over Groovy Gecko’s global content distribution network and made available on-line after the event.
The company is also working towards integrating the live streaming with SMS and MMS technology, instant voting and real-time discussion environments.
