Dan Meis to lead Woods Bagot's global sports design group

Woods Bagot has announced that sports and entertainment architect Dan Meis has been appointed global director of its new design group, Woods Bagot Sport.
In his new role, Meis will expand his Los Angeles, US-based team to incorporate design and technical experts located in New York, US; London, UK; and Sydney, Australia.
The new group will continue with Meis' current projects, which include the new NFL Stadium at Grand Crossing in Los Angeles and a 50,000-seat, multi-purpose facility for the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
Meis is also working on the conceptual design for a new stadium for AS Roma in Rome, Italy, and collaborating with Aedas on the design of Sports City Stadium in Doha, Qatar, for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Woods Bagot group managing director Ross Donaldson said: "The formidable economics of sports development is spurring new models for state-of-the-art, year-round destinations and innovative approaches to their development, design and delivery.
