DC Leisure has launched a Personal Training Academy for its kineticka health and fitness brand, in a bid to capitalise on the increasing popularity of the service.
The one week training course, available to advanced fitness instructors, will be jointly delivered by the personal trainer, Mark Slavin, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Master Trainer, Nic Jarvis. Students will learn advanced anatomy, physiology and exercise programming, as well as how to approach, track and retain customers. Students will receive business cards, and all marketing and promotional materials on completion of the course. “Our personal training revenue has increased by 50 per cent over the past 12 months,” says group health ad fitness manager, Howard Braband. “We believe we can double this over the next 12 months.” Personal training is “a win-win situation”, says Braband. For instructors it means the chance to earn more money and for the company it means holding on to good staff and also increased earnings at it takes 40 per cent of the income generated by personal trainers.
