Cruiser invites spa on board
Carnival Cruises has announced that its new Carnival Miracle cruiser, to be launched 17 April, will have a fully equipped Adonis spa on board.
The 14,500sq ft, two-level spa will have 10 treatment rooms, four swimming pools (both indoor and outdoor), five whirlpools, a sauna, steamroom and padded jogging track.
Treatments, provided by Elemis, include aroma and stone therapies, full body massages, seaweed wraps, mudpacks, facials and a full-service beauty salon.
Adjacent to the spa, workout areas and gym with a sea view will also be available. The gym facilities include a number of cv stations, including treadmills, rowing and stair-climbing machines.
Also on board will be a golf range and a mirrored aerobics room, offering a wide range of levels of workout for all ages.
As part of the spa experience, the ships formal restaurant will offer a signature Spa Carnival Fare, providing guests with a menu low in fat, calories, sodium and cholesterol.
Meats are boiled or roasted and salads prepared using fat-free dressings.
Additionally, a poolside restaurant will include an extensive salad bar and a 24-hour frozen yoghurt station.
The Carnival Cruise Lines began operating in 1972 and now runs 18 ships around the world. Cruise lengths vary from two nights to three weeks and the liner carries around 2.5 million passengers every year. Details: www.carnival.com
