Council to consult over Wycombe stadium plans
A public consultation to examine plans for a new community sports stadium in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, is due to close on 29 October.
Wycombe District Council (WDC) launched a six-week consultation in order to gather feedback from local residents over the proposals, which outlines three potential sites for the scheme. Four options are being considered for the scale of the development and types of facilities that could be included, with Adams Park, the Abbey Barn South area and Wycombe Air Park all potential sites.
The stadium is set to provide a new home for Wycombe Wanderers Football Club and London Wasps rugby union team, both of which currently play at the existing Adams Park ground. WDC deputy leader Tony Green said: "This consultation is open to everyone to have their say about the Wycombe Community Stadium and Sports Project, because we genuinely want to know what people think.
"The project has the potential to be an exciting project which could benefit the community, but we appreciate that it involves many important and complex issues."
