Cotai Strip aims to be Asia's cultural hot spot
The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel, at Sands China's Cotai Strip, has announced a busy programme of events this winter with Titanic The Exhibition, The Human Bodies Exhibition and the Winter in Venice extravaganza.
Titanic The Exhibition runs from 25 October to 24 February and features artefacts from the ship's wreckage, as well as showing recreated areas of the ship, including the grand staircase and the ballroom.
Running concurrently, the Human Bodies Exhibition has been seen by 30 million people around the world. With 200 organs and full specimens, it reveals the inner workings of the body.
From November to January, there will be live entertainment from in-house entertainers and weekend concerts from international artists and entertainers at the Venetian theatre. Outside, there will be a synthetic ice rink, Christmas tree and a spectacular daily light show.
Brendon Elliot, vice president of sales and resort marketing, says the resort is aiming to become Asia's number one destination for entertainment and leisure. "We are thrilled to announce the arrival of three spectacular events never seen on this scale ever before in Macao," he says. "These upcoming events are attractions unique to the region and ones that members of all the family can enjoy."
