Club Company to revamp Cheshire site
The Club Company is to invest £2m in a complete overhaul of the health ad fitness facilities at its Tytherington Club in Macclesfield, Cheshire.
The project, which is set to begin in May, will include the introduction of a poolside spa facility for adults.
The spa will incorporate a large hydro pool and sauna and steamroom. There will also be a dedicated health and beauty area, branded Aura, offering treatments for both men and women.
The 4,310sq m club will be the fourth site in the company’s estate to offer a spa service to both members and non-members.
A third exercise studio will also be added to host mind-body classes, such as yoga and pilates, and the club’s crèche will undergo a complete facelift.
Other areas of the facility to benefit from the refurbishment include the club restaurant, members’ bar and function rooms.
Due to complete this autumn, the project follows the recent refurbishment of the club’s sister site The Essex, and is part of the Club Company’s strategy of ongoing investment in its estate of 10 golf and country clubs.
Thierry Delsol, Club Company’s chief executive, said: “It’s essential that we continue to invest in our product, not only to keep standards high, but to retain members and to attract new ones.”
“This project follows an investment of £11.6m in our estate over the last 18 months, during which we have completed work on a £4.3m in a health club facility at Benton Hall, a new golf clubhouse at The Warwickshire and a £4.7m health and fitness club at Lichfield.”
