The Catering Forum has announced the winners of its Young Guns competition, run in association with Springboard UK.
Martin Brown of the University of Portsmouth and Claire Robinson of Sheffield Hallam University were selected by a panel of industry judges - including representatives of Jarvis Hotels, Six Continents Retail, Whitbread Hotels and Compass from a shortlist of ten finalists. The competition, now in its third year, recognises the achievements of hospitality students who have excelled during their industry placement year in terms of communication skills, attitude, professional behaviour, technical ability, quality of work and management potential.
The winners will now be invited to attend The Catering Forum 2003 to meet senior figures in the UK Foodservice industry. Details: www.cateringforum.com
