CCPR appoints new treasurer
The Central Council of Physical Recreation (CCPR) has appointed a new treasurer, Nic Coward.
Coward has amassed extensive knowledge of sport and the law. He qualified as a solicitor with Freshfields in 1992 and previous appointments include director of corporate and legal affairs at the Football Association and deputy chair of a motor dealership group.
Chair of CCPR, Howard Wells, said: “We are delighted to have added Nic to our board. His predecessor, Tony Richards, has been a stalwart in that role and he will be a hard act for Nic to follow, but I am sure he will aspire to that challenge.”
The CCPR is responsible for promoting the interests of voluntary sector sport and recreation and represents 270 national governing and representative sport and recreation bodies. Details: www.ccpr.org.uk
