The Buffalo Bill Museum - one of five heritage attractions at Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Wyoming, US - officially reopens on 15 June following a multi-million dollar revamp.
Due to relaunch in time for the this year's summer holiday season, the 15,000sq ft (1,394sq m) museum examines the life and times of William F Cody and the Buffalo Bill character.
Items on display at the attraction include a life-size representation of Buffalo Bill; William F Cody's Congressional Medal of Honor; and a scale model of Buffalo Bill's Wild West.
A stagecoach, costumes, saddles and guns used by Buffalo Bill and Annie Oakley as part of their famous Wild West shows will also be on display at the museum.
Bruce Eldredge, executive director of the Buffalo Bill Historical Center, said: "This is the perfect place to not only experience the life and times of William F Cody, but to immerse oneself in the American West."
Museum curator Dr John Rumm added: "We hope the new museum not only attracts an international crowd but, as importantly, re-ignites interest in Buffalo Bill at home."
