Brothers open fourth gastropub
Hospitality entrepreneur brothers Tom and Ed Martin have opened a new restaurant and pub in London, bringing the number of sites in their gastropub portfolio to four.
The new site, called Empress of India, is located in Victoria Park Village and has 70 covers.
Housed within a 19th century corner site, the interior was designed by the Martin brothers in conjunction with Concorde Interiors.
The kitchen is headed by head chef Tim Wilson - formerly of The Ivy - and offers guests a modern British menu with European influences.
The Martins are due to open their fifth site in London Fields later this year. They already own and operate The Gun in the Docklands, the White Swan Pub and Dining Room on Fetter Lane and The Well in Clerkenwell. Details: www.theempressofindia.com
