There are few beauty products that stand the test of time. Beauty products whose textures endure seasonal beauty fads and whose ingredients prevail against the competition are rare.

It is rarer still that one of these tenacious products is British. Ten years since the launch of Pro-Collagen Marine Cream, Elemis takes time to celebrate its unique anti-ageing icon and the amazing success that somewhere around the world, every minute one is sold.

“It only feels like yesterday when we challenged ourselves to formulate the first Elemis anti-ageing moisturiser. Combining ground-breaking marine actives with cutting-edge science, our key objective was to achieve positive, visible results, under scientific clinical trials. After three years, 52 formulations and two clinical trials, Pro-Collagen Marine Cream was born,” says Noella Gabriel, Elemis founder and director of treatment, product development and training.

Its key active, the unique seaweed algae padina pavonica, was found by a leading French cosmetic scientist whom was diving off the coast of Malta. He noticed that under this unique seaweed the wood on the base of the shipwreck had been preserved, as if time had stood still. Fascinated by its preserving effects he researched the benefits of padina pavonica for 10 years, before it changed the face of Elemis anti-ageing skincare forever.

Elemis today combines this powerful active with other proven plant and marine actives within the Pro-Collagen range, including the new Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm, to deliver the perfect synergy of skin firmness, elasticity and suppleness.

To celebrate the 10th Anniversary and its 21 beauty awards, Elemis present a limited edition aqua marine encased super-sized 100ml version, with an embossed sliver lid showcasing the powerful hero ingredients that deliver its extraordinary anti-ageing results.

Pro-Collagen Limited Edition 100ml is available in spas and salons nationwide, select department stores and online with Debenhams, John Lewis and Harvey Nichols and timetospa.co.uk.
