The Venue Leisure Centre in Borehamwood hosted a team from Channel Five earlier this month filming the Britain's Kindest Kids final.

Being filmed were 12-year-old Daniella Jacobson and her older sister Talya, who suffers from Cerebral Palsy, who swam the equivalent of the length of the English Channel at The Venue's swimming pool, raising £23,000 for charity.

On Daniella's twelfth birthday she asked people not to give her presents, but to donate to charity instead. She is one of five finalists for the Channel Five show, in which the winner will be presented with a prize of £1,000 pocket money and £1,000 to donate to charity by Natasha Kaplinsky live on Five News.

Later this month, Daniella and Talya will launch The Venue's 12-week swimming challenge to raise money for the Aspire Charity. The challenge is to swim 22 miles within 12 weeks between the 15 September and the 7 December.
