A boutique fitness club, designed to develop members' mental and emotional health in addition to physical fitness, has opened its doors on in Waterloo, London.

The 3,500sq ft Mindset club houses two large studio areas and offers five bespoke group training classes.

Each class has been designed to improve "overall mindsets" and comprise of five main components – social, emotional, nutritional, physical and mental fitness.

Options include ‘Reset’ – a hybrid of yoga, meditation, core strength and calisthenics and ‘Asset’, which is a body sculpting session designed exclusively for women.

As well as the class spaces, Mindset has a nutrition bar, designer showers and changing rooms, a reception area and a lounge.

The concept has been designed and developed by personal trainer and director of Mindset, Darren Sealy, who wanted to create an environment where users could "enhance all aspects of their life" as well as carrying out physical workouts.

“Our training philosophy is based on the belief that no matter how physically fit and strong you are; your mental fitness is just as – if not even more – important,” Sealy said.

“The response to our approach to training has already been wholly positive and we have more than 600 people signed up for our free trial.

"Londoners recognise that the demands of life is increasing all the time – particularly with the long working hours associated with city working.

"It has never been more important to ensure people take the time to invest in their state of mind.

“After working in various roles across the fitness sector for a decade, I wanted to create a space where people could develop their mental strength – to enhance their confidence and empower them to improve their lives as a whole.”

Memberships which entitle to unlimited classes will cost £120 per month, while a ‘pay as you go’ option of £20 per class is also available.
