Blenheim Palace opens Untold Story
Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, UK has opened a new attraction, called Untold Story.
The £1.5m visitor experience is situated within a suite of rooms on the second floor which have never before been open to the public.
The new attraction opens with visitors meeting Grace Ridley, the 1st Duchess’s maid, who appears as a ghostly figure to guide guests behind the scenes of the palace.
At various points through the journey, visitors will come across interactive exhibits, touch screen consoles and graphic panels providing information on the history of the palace as well as the Marlborough family who own the site.
Lasting 45 minutes, the new visitor experience will be included in the entrance price to the attraction.
John Spencer-Churchill, the 11th Duke of Marlborough, said: “I am constantly aware of 300 years of history at Blenheim, but equally realise the needs of the future.
“I am pleased that we have this intriguing new experience which offers an entire different perspective for our visitors.”
