Birmingham move for athletics organisations
UK Athletics (UKA) and England Athletics are set to move to new offices at Birmingham's Alexander Stadium, which form part of a new stand along the back straight at the venue.
Both organisations are already working together on areas such as schools athletics and coach education, with the relocation designed to offer "super cost-effective solution".
The office space is located under the main concourse of the 5,000-seat stand, which has been designed by S&P Architects and forms part of a major £12.25m redevelopment of the venue.
A new gym available to local residents will also form part of the stand, which can also provide temporary seating when required. The move is due to be completed by 29 November.
A UKA spokesperson said: "It is envisaged the arrangement will ensure both bodies begin 2012 in the ideal position to fulfil their respective roles within the sport."
