Belgian fans snap up tickets for Harry Potter: The Exhibition
A Harry Potter exhibition taking place in Brussels, Belgium, this summer has sold more than 75,000 tickets in advance of its 30 June opening date.
Fans of the Harry Potter franchise will get to be immersed in its film sets, costumes and props as part of the 1,400sq m (15,069sq ft) event at Brussels Expo.
Harry Potter: The Exhibition is a collaboration between live events and exhibitions provider Global Experience Specialists (GES) and Warner Bros Consumer Products, the entertainment company’s licensing and merchandising arm.
To date, more than 3.5 million people around the world have enjoyed the experience. Harry Potter: The Exhibition launched in 2009 and has been touring ever since, stopping in cities that include Chicago and Boston, Sydney, Singapore, Tokyo and Shanghai. Brussels marks its fourth stop in Europe, following Paris, Cologne in Germany and Norrköping in Sweden.
"Harry Potter: The Exhibition has thrilled audiences all over the world and we are delighted by the excitement it has generated in Brussels," said GES president Steve Moster. "We are excited to bring the fans in Belgium a chance to experience the world of Harry Potter first-hand."
The interactive exhibition will take place in Palais 2 of Brussels Expo and run until 11 September, 2016. It is expected to tour until 2020.
