BeWILDerwood submits plans for second site
Bure Valley Adventures, operator of BeWILDderwood treehouse adventure park in Norfolk, UK has submitted a planning application for a second site at Tatton Park, Cheshire.
The plans for the new attraction will be put on show on 23 February as part of a consultation which will run until mid-March.
It is hoped that the plans - which have already received the support of the National Trust - will receive final approval in May 2012.
Bure Valley Adventures has liaised with Cheshire East Council and Tatton Park on the project.
- a heritage park attraction which currently comprises 50 acres of landscaped gardens, a 1,000 acre deer park and a historic neo-classical mansion - already receives more than 800,000 visitors a year.
The addition of BeWILDerwood is expected to increase the number of visitors to more than 1 million.
Simon Egan, director of BeWILDerwood, said: "These are the very first steps in the planning process, so time will tell if this dream will finally happen."
Jamie Macrae, councillor for Cheshire East Council, added: "This proposal is a huge part the council's ambitious plans for the Tatton vision.
"By working closely with Bure Valley Adventures, we are showing a real commitment to improving the facilities and enhancing the whole visitor experience."
