BHA chief executive to chair debate at 2006 Restaurant Show
All BHA members who will be visiting the 2006 Restaurant Show are invited to watch British Hospitality Association chief executive Bob Cotton chair a lunchtime debate on Tuesday 19 September.
With the theme, Challenges to the Bottom Line, Bob will chair a panel of top restaurateurs to discuss some of the challenges currently affecting the bottom line of all food service businesses.
The debate will primarily focus on the impact of rising employment costs and additional statutory holidays with pay, revised HM Treasury and Customs’ rules on the distribution of the tronc and the service charge, and the government’s new legislation on the employment of immigrant workers.
The only show wholly dedicated to the restaurant trade, this year The Restaurant Show will run from 18-20 September 2006 at Olympia in London, and will feature specially created food and drink areas showcasing the world’s best produce and brands.
More than 300 suppliers of food, wine, spirits, interiors, tableware, champagne, soft drinks, technology, business advice and design are expected to exhibit at this year’s show to demonstrate the latest products and services for restaurateurs.
