Australian Museum launches predator exhibit
The Australian Museum in Sydney, Australia, has launched a new exhibition called Eaten Alive – the World of Predators running from 16 December to 22 April 2007.
The exhibit will comprise a 3D show on the Great White Shark called Shark Encounter and a hands-on display of animatronic predators, including a life-size crocodile lunging from a swamp and an enormous Funnel Web Spider lying in wait.
The exhibit was developed by Questacon – The National Science and Technology Centre, Canberra, Australia.
In addition, the museum is featuring the Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2006 exhibition from 9 December to 18 March 2007.
The exhibit will showcase the winning and commended images from the world’s largest wildlife photography competition, which is run by the Natural History Museum and the BBC Wildlife Magazine in London, UK. Details: www.amonline.net.au
