Auberge Resorts launch Mexican spa
Auberge Resorts group has launched its latest spa in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, following an extensive resort renovation.
Located within the grounds of the group’s Esperanza resort, the new US$5m (3.4m euro, £2.5m) Spa at Esperanza was designed by Scott Lee of San Francisco-based firm SB Architects with interior design by Jim Rimelspach of Willson Associates in Dallas.
Covering around 15,000sq ft (1,393sq m), the majority of the spa is located outdoors, with the gardens being integral to the spa experience.
Facilities comprise 15 treatment rooms including two large couples’ suites. There’s also a palapa-covered manicure and pedicure area as well as a yoga studio, steam caves and hot and cold pools.
The design of the spa was directed by Tracy Lee, vice-president of Auberge’s spa development and operations. Two consultants were also used: Tara Grodjesk and Loma Alexander.
Currently under development are further US-based wellness facilities in Sante Fe, New Mexico, St Kitts, Wisconsin, and Sonoma Valley in California.
