Arc unveils flagship communal contrast therapy club in Canary Wharf – second London site set for 2025

Arc, London’s highly anticipated social wellness club, has officially debuted today (31 January) in Canary Wharf with a sleek 5,000sq m flagship urban Bathhouse.
First teased in December 2024 in a Spa Business exclusive, Arc blends contrast therapy, breathwork, sound healing and movement to create a space where wellness meets social connection.
The debut location features the UK’s largest sauna – designed by Finnmark Sauna and spacious enough for 65 people – alongside eight two-person Brass Monkey ice baths, an amphitheatre-style lounge with a striking central wooden installation and mixed-gender changing rooms.
Following its launch, Arc has announced plans to open a second site in Marylebone in 2025.
“As traditional social spaces evolve, especially among younger generations, Arc offers something different – a place where wellness and meaningful connection go hand in hand,” says founder Chris Miller.
Miller, also CEO and founder of hospitality incubator White Rabbit Projects, was inspired to create Arc after experiencing leading US wellness clubs Remedy Place, Othership and Bathhouse.
Previously the commercial director at Soho House Group, he witnessed firsthand how thoughtfully designed spaces can foster deep connections.
“Whether you’re looking for peak performance, stress relief or a sense of community, Arc’s experiences meet you where you are.”
Accessible wellness
Unlike most social wellness clubs, Arc has broken away from the traditional membership model to enhance accessibility. Guests can book one-off sessions or purchase multi-class packages via Arc’s website or dedicated mobile app, ensuring flexibility for all.
“We want to keep things democratic – the benefits of these practices are so profound that I want to make them available to as many people as possible,” explains Miller.
Arc’s programming, curated by co-founder and neuroscientist Alanna Kit (formerly of Othership), features 13 guided classes tailored for energy boosts, relaxation, athletic recovery and dopamine resets.
“Our goal is to reimagine the traditional spa experience,” says Miller. “Together with Alanna, we’re creating something unique – a space where people can connect deeply with themselves and others while experiencing powerful health benefits.”
