Annual ISPA trend watch is revealed
The 2010 annual trend watch has been published by the International Spa Association (ISPA) and focuses on the growth of social media usage in spas, as well as mini spa menus and innovative partnerships.
ISPA's trend forecast includes the use of social media - such as Twitter and Facebook in marketing spas and elevated levels of customer service, with spas making each visit a customised experience for the individual.
Other trends to watch include spas using sampling menus, similar to ordering tapas at a Spanish restaurant, and partnerships between spas and established franchises.
Unveiling the forecast, ISPA president Lynne McNees commented: "Since the economic downturn, the consumer is more educated than ever before when it comes to investing in themselves. They want tangible results and information that will improve their quality of life." Details: experienceispa.com
