Angsana Spa Dubai opens
Asia-based spa brand Angsana Spa has opened its latest site, in collaboration with Emaar Properties, at the Dubai Marina on the Arabian Gulf. The company has also announced it will be opening a further three spas with Emaar by the end of 2005.
Located on the third floor of the waterfront Dubai Marina mall, the new, 29,063sq ft (2,700sq m) Angsana spa boasts 13 single treatment rooms in total – two with indoor spa baths.
Other facilities include a 25m lap pool, separate male and female whirlpools, a fitness centre and a juice bar.
There is a wide selection of treatments on offer, centred on a ‘high-touch, low-tech’ approach and including wraps, facials and scrubs, while a focus on fresh botanicals forms the cornerstone of all Angsana therapies.
Ho Kwon Ping, executive chair of Banyan Tree Group – which created and manages the Angsana Spa brand – said: “The phenomenal growth of Dubai’s tourism and hospitality industries is a testament to its popularity as an ideal year-round business and leisure destination.
“Its vibrancy, cosmopolitan and modern nature coupled with all the world-class facilities and attractions available to both visitors and residents make Dubai a natural business venture for the group.”
In the second quarter of 2005 in association with Emaar, Angsana will open three further spas at the Arabian Ranches, Montgomerie Golf and Emirates Hill sites.
Chair of Emaar Properties, Mohamed Ali Alabbar, said: “Angsana Spa is a committed brand and I am glad they will be present at Dubai Marina, Emirates Hills, Montgomerie Golf Course and the Arabian Ranches which will considerably enhance lifestyles within these unique communities.” Angsana Spa therapists are trained at the Banyan Tree Academy in Phuket.
