Andaz Maui at Wailea to open late summer 2013
Hyatt’s Andaz is to unveil Andaz Maui at Wailea, a resort inspired by Maui, located on 15 acres of south western coastline along Mokapu Beach.
Designed by architects, Rockwell Group, the oceanfront resort will feature 297 guestrooms and suites, including seven luxurious, three- to five-bedroom residential villas.
A 15,000sq ft (1,390sq m) full-service spa will house 10 treatment rooms along with cascading outdoor infinity pools and a private adults-only pool.
The entrance to the spa will be the Apothecary Lounge, where customizable products and treatments will be blended by the on-site herbalist. Salon services, retail shop and fitness centre will be available to guests.
Other facilities include 15,000sq ft (1,390sq m) of meeting and event space and two full service restaurants, including Morimoto Maui, helmed by Chef Masaharu Morimoto.
Michael Stephens, general manager of Andaz Maui at Wailea said: “Andaz Maui at Wailea bridges the character of Hawaii with the experiences travellers seek when they visit great destinations around the world – personalized, uncomplicated service and a rich understanding of the local neighbourhood.
“We look forward to expressing the gracious spirit of Hawaii and inviting guests to indulge in their own personal sense of comfort and style while creating own inspiring experiences in Maui.”
Additional services will include three on-site bars, a family game room, a media room and arrivals and departures lounge.
