All booked up at easyHotel
The first easyHotel has opened in Kensington, London, with all 34 bedrooms fully booked on the first night – 1 August.
The budget hotel – which cost easyGroup founder Stelios Haji-Ioannou £3m to purchase and renovate – offers double rooms from £20 a night, although prices will increase during busy periods.
The rooms come in three sizes – small, very small or tiny – which equate to 80, 70 and 60sq ft respectively.
The rooms feature air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms while just three, more expensive, rooms have windows.
The hotel has no common or public areas, with the intention being that guests will find restaurants and entertainment in the surrounding area.
The aim of easyHotel is to fill the gap between the budget branded hotel chains and bed and breakfast accommodation.
The first franchised easyHotel will open in Switzerland in September. Details: www.easyHotel.com
