ABBA The Museum opens in Stockholm
ABBA The Museum, the first visitor attraction to be dedicated entirely to the Swedish pop band, has opened its doors in Stockholm today.
Backed by ABBA founder Bjorn Ulvaeus, the museum offers visitors an interactive journey through the band's history and features hundreds of artefacts relating to ABBA.
Ulvaeus said: "The new museum will give a complete picture of the band, the music and the incredible success we experienced in the 1970s and '80s, something that we haven't been able to present until now.
"It will be like an experience-based music documentary that invites the visitor backstage as well as on and in front of the stage."
During the museum journey, visitors will be able to experience what it would be like to be the "fifth member of ABBA" using interactive exhibitions. Guests will be able to see how they would look like in one of ABBA's legendary stage costumes, to sing at the famous Polar Studio and to enter the stage together with the band.
There is also a 180-degree cinema showing a film on ABBA history. Details: www.abbathemuseum.com/
