A walk in the dark at Dutch theme Park
A specially developed internet game lets Dutch theme park visitors to virtually visit Het OpSlot! (“Locked Up!”) – the newest attraction at Het Land van Ooit.
On the website, www.hetopslot.nl, visitors solve puzzles to win keys enabling them to pass through virtual doors, with their journey culminating in a jousting tournament against an evil knight.
The tournament winners are able to print out a barcode which allows them to take short-cuts through the park’s actual attraction.
Designed for “daredevil tweenagers” aged 9-12, HetOpSlot! is a dark walk-through maze of corridors filled with different doors – only some of which can be opened. Several lead to daunting chambers and by swiping the given OpSlot Card, these forbidding rooms come to life for brave-hearted guests.
Investment in the development of the internet game and the physical park attraction totalled 700,000 euros. Details: +31 416 377 775
