37° health club opens at London Olympia
Ark Leisure Management has opened its second 37°-branded health club in London Kensington’s Olympia.
The 27,000sq ft (2,500sq m) centre spreads over six stories of a Grade II-listed former warehouse site.
The club’s crèche is located in the basement, while the ground floor houses a reception room, juice bar, sauna and swimming pool.
Changing rooms and shower areas, along with a unisex steamroom, are situated on the first floor while the entire second floor has been dedicated to the large gym area.
Facilities in the gym include a wide range of cv stations, a free weights area, a full-size boxing ring, a Kinesis area provided by Technogym and a set of Powerplate machines.
Group class rooms are housed on the third floor alongside a dedicated spinning studio, a golf simulator and office space for club management.
The top floor will remain close to members until later this year, when a rooftop sun terrace will be opened to complete the redevelopment of the side.
The Olympia site will be the second 37° club to open in London, following the launch of a site at the More London Riverside complex in 2006.
The club, which has been financed by Close Venture Management, was designed by London-based SHH architects.
