2010 launch for Devarana on The Palm
More details have been revealed about the 19,375sq ft (1,800sq m) Devarana Spa which is scheduled to open in 2010 as part of the Al Osaimi Group’s AED1bn (US$0.27bn, 0.18bn euro, £0.13bn) resort and residences in Dubai.
Located on the Crescent of the artificial island The Palm Jumeirah, the luxury spa will be designed under a ‘Garden in Heaven’ theme.
Facilities will include nine single treatment rooms and two double suites. There will also be a hammam, foot reflexology, manicure and pedicure areas, changing rooms with heat experiences and a relaxation lounge.
The spa menu will focus on ‘East meets West’ therapies as well as traditional Arabian treatments. It will be split into five sections – holistic massage, beauty, Thai and Arabian treatments and a holistic detoxification programme.
The interior will combine Devarana’s trademark Thai style with Middle Eastern influences. Features will include handwritten poetry on the walls and canopied couches.
The next Devarana Spa to open will be at The Dusit Thani LakeView Cairo in Egypt, which is scheduled to launch in early 2009. Details: devaranaspa.com
