A luxury day spa is to open in 2008 as part of a new signature hotel development by Borgata. Called The Water Club, the US$400m (277m euro, £194m) hotel will be situated at Renaissance Pointe in Atlantic City, New Jersey, US.

The Water Club will feature five tiers of accommodation and a ‘spa in the sky’ covering two floors and with five swimming pools.

The spa will be called Immersion – The Spa at the Water Club and will feature 16 experience rooms, a fitness centre and a 25-yard, infinity-edge lap pool with sky views, overlooking the ocean.

The design of the hotel and spa will incorporate the element of water and fuse clean, elegant lines with materials such as limestone.
