Australia strengthens links with UK
Tourism Australia has launched a new campaign in a bid to strengthen trade and business ties with the UK’s hospitality and tourism industries.
G'dayUK comprises a series of events, covering trade and investment, food and wine, and migration and tourism, as a means of highlighting the range of skills, resources and opportunities Australia offers to both consumers and businesses. The events will run between 24 June and 30 June 2009. The initiative forms part of a wider initiative to develop relations with some of the world's most powerful economies including the USA, which recently held the sixth G'dayUSA in January 2009.
G'day is supported by the New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia,, Victorian and Western Australia State Governments, Australian Trade Commission, Qantas and Tourism Australia. It is also being delivered in conjunction with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Wine Australia, Australian Business and key private sector sponsors.
