Stobo Castle Health Spa wins award

Stobo Castle's health spa, near Peebles in the Scottish Borders, is celebrating winning the Best Destination Spa 2001 at the Professional Beauty awards earlier this month. Criteria for the award voted by judges from within the beauty industry included categories such as friendliness, professionalism, expertise, range of treatments, value for money, décor and hygiene. In its first year of entry to the competition, Stobo beat off stiff competition from premium spa competitors such as Champneys and Ragdale Hall. Stobo's marketing director, Jenni Watts, says that winning the award fulfills the management's own criteria of being the UK's top spa: Our aim at Stobo is not to be the biggest, but the best health spa in the UK and winning this fabulous award proves that not only our guests, but also national experts in the industry, already think we are the best.
